The Living Door

We used The Living Door along with our realtor (Casey Hatch) to find a home to purchase and that could be remodeled. As a part of purchase process, Ruth Ann created the vision for the remodel prior to the purchase of a 20 year old house in an established neighborhood. After the purchase, she lead the effort on designing the plan, hiring a great general contractor (REM), providing options for interior finishes and managing the entire process. She stayed within our budget and communicated when there were things to discuss. I've already referred Ruth Ann to many of my friends because of the great experience we had. I would highly recommend Ruth Ann for any remodel or a new build. RuthAnn Scott is truly an amazing designer! We built a new home and hired RuthAnn as the planning began. We could not have imagined building and decorating a house without her! She truly makes the process so so so much easier! She is very talented! I would definitely not have the home we had today with RuthAnn! We worked with Ruth Ann in the remodel of our home. When we started it seemed like an overwhelming project, but Ruth Ann was amazing at giving us a vision for the remodel, providing us plenty of options that were in our budget( & didnt overwhelm us.) We honestly couldnt have done this project without her. She was great at giving ideas, but also being able to incorporate our personal style into the design. We just finished our new build and it is safe to say, I wouldn't have our amazing home without the work of Ruth Ann! From day one meeting with her and our builder, I could tell I needed to work with her, but it wasn't until we got going on the project that I realized we couldn't have built without her! Ruth Ann's personality is the best and she worked with me to get to know me and things that I like. I wasn't at all sure what I wanted or what options I had, but through conversations and showing her a couple colors and projects that I liked, she was able to plan out the details of our house better than I could have dreamed of doing. People would always ask how the building process was going and I would tell them that it was absolutely amazing as I was working with an awesome designer who was putting together our home with quality finishes that matched our style. I didn't have to stress about figuring out what to order and when and how to put it together and that was so helpful. Our home is now finished and when people stop in they are quick to notice how beautiful it is and I let them know that is all thanks to the work of Ruth Ann at The Living Door!
