Comfort Inn & Suites Avera Southwest

Stayed here for a tournament. **Most** of the staff is friendly. The girl with the colorful hair was insanely rude and responded in the most petulant ways. Instead of quietly listening to us, she la la laaaad us by repeating, Just leave!! Just leave!! And running to the back. She ignored THREE phone calls from other guests, just to avoid DOING HER JOB. All we wanted was confirmation that her manager would get back to us. There were no signs indicating what time the lobby closed. There was no literature explaining hours. There was nothing on the website indicting lobby closure at 11pm. Whats worse? She snuck over to another group and hushed them, telling them just to keep it quiet until we left. Incredibly unprofessional. Noteworthy details: Rude staff, except for breakfast, housekeeping, and older lady with the super sweet service dog.

The lady with the colorful hair at the front desk staff freaked out yelling at our families in the lobby for talking when we were staying there for a tournament. The male with longer hair was a complete spaz smoking weed out front because he had no idea how to handle people sitting in the lobby chatting. The manager came and tried to handle the situation she claimed that her employee couldnt have been smoking weed out front because he was allergic and that the colorful hair lady was correct to yell at the gas because nobody could hear her unless she yelled. Definitely wont stay here again. Hospitality sucks!

When this place first opened, they had a sign welcoming their point club members. We stayed here on March 28 and the front desk clerk was very mild mannered. My spouse walked in and was getting lemon water but the guy stood there like my spouse was imposing, that's the impression I got. He was not really welcoming but it was late and we were tired. I noticed a difference in this place from when it first opened. Then they put us near the pool which was loud. The room was clean though. But the TV volume was difficult to adjust. It's different here though and I don't think we will come to this location anymore.

Business trip and a night in Sioux Falls, this location was outstanding. Very clean room, and friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again when I return.
