    Christina was amazing and an absolute gem to work with. Our wedding was everything we wanted and more. Only reason for leaving a 3 instead of a 5 was I had SEVERAL family members complain that one of the workers was very ill and rude towards the children, yanking them around by their arms, yelling at them etc which makes me sad because it really ruined the venue for a lot of people.

    We threw my parent's a 40th Anniversary party, not only is the venue beautiful but Deb and Christina are AMAZING to work with. We also rented the house on property to stay at over night and loved it. Thank you!

    Its really hard for me to write this review. I generally do not leave reviews even when receiving bad service. But this was our wedding and I cant believe what this venue did to us and I hope it never happens to anyone again. Whats worse is they have made zero attempt to make things right. From the very start of our meetings with Christina we made it clear we we wanted open bar for our guests at the cocktail hour, its even printed on our invitations that we were paying for cocktail hour. We ordered two kegs of specialty beer from her and agreed to $1,000 in drinks for our guests. We had a second meeting with her two weeks before the wedding and again talked about open bar up to $1,000 for our guests. She took notes both meetings. After our wedding ceremony and later that night she approached my husband with the bar bill. We had already paid for the kegs prior and it was $750. He was expecting a bill close to $1000 when it was only $90 He was so confused. We then found out all of our guests were charged for their drinks at cocktail hour. My 13 year old junior bridesmaid couldnt even get a soda and a random guest had to buy it for her. As the weeks past and we saw and connected with our guests we learned how poorly they were treated at the bar, one guest recalls being snapped at because she ordered Chardonnay and they didnt have any. I emailed Christina to express our embarrassment and disappointment over her mistake. Our guests were so confused as it was on our invitation that we were paying for cocktail hour. We received an apology and the basic we will try to do better line. Things got worse a few weeks later when we had a bbq at our house and ever single guest that was also at our wedding told us they were charged for the keg beers. I emailed Christina and asked why we paid her $750 AND she charged our guests so she made double the money. Our friends also told us they were treated terrible at the bar. I received zero response from her! So she ripped us off for $750 and made money off our guests and has no excuse. Our beautiful day will always be stained by this embarrassing and disgusting behavior of this venue. I absolutely regret choosing such an unprofessional place. I hope this never happens to another couple and theres already another review about how terrible the bar staff is. Once this woman got our money she absolutely did not care. She has caused us so much embarrassment and made an extra $750 off us and cant even respond to an email.

Hello Stephanie,We sincerely apologize once more for any inconvenience you experienced during the planning process for your beautiful wedding. We truly understand your concerns and are deeply sorry for any misunderstandings that arose.Throughout the planning stages, we discussed the bar options five months before your wedding. During our initial meeting, we explored various ideas, but no concrete decisions were made, as you were just embarking on the planning journey.The frustration you expressed about the open bar situation saddened us, especially since there were several opportunities to rectify the situation. I want to clarify that both my husband and I were bartending, and we treated everyone with respect and care.When your guests arrived, there was some confusion as only draft beer was on the bride and groom's tab. I explained that it wasn't an open bar, but two kegs were available at no extra charge. Approximately 20 minutes into the cocktail hour, your photographer informed us that the wedding party believed it was a cash bar. We immediately clarified that we accepted debit/cards, to which she responded positively.I assumed this information had been communicated to you promptly. Later, the owner overheard your usher, Ethan, informing guests that the bar was cash-only. She explained the term "cash bar" to him, and he acknowledged his misunderstanding.Addressing the keg beer situation, I issued an invoice for $750 a week before the event. I want to clarify that Generations Weddings and Events does not have keg beer unless purchased by the couple. At your wedding, we recorded 49 canned beer sales, 100 wine pours, seltzers, soda, and water. By 10 pm, the kegs were almost depleted. The total sales reached $972, which included your rehearsal day wine tab of around $90.We provided your final bill of approximately $90 at the end of the night, and no mention was made of a $1000 open bar charge. It's crucial to note that we never double-charged for keg beer. While I apologize for not collecting your credit card for an open bar, I want to emphasize that no business typically offers an open bar without a card on file.Apart from keg beer, the only complimentary drinks were specialty cocktails given to you by your guests. Our aim is to ensure couples don't pay for beverages during their wedding. We believe we went above and beyond for your exceptional wedding, even offering the guest house at no cost due to the water situation at your home.This business is my passion, and I treat every individual with utmost respect and dedication. Your wedding was a remarkable experience, and you and your husband were a pleasure to work with. It truly saddens me to hear of your unhappiness following what seemed to be a dream wedding day.
