Won't give money back when wrongfully taken. Said we could use it for rent and then charge late fees and don't take the money already taken....

I don't have very good memories about this apartment. We were very stressed by the sounds of footsteps, dogs running, and snoring (or our neighbor) at night on the 3rd floor. Also, when took a shower in the bathroom upstairs, we could hear crackling noises coming from our bathroom, so it was difficult to sleep in the early morning. The neighbors were great, but it wasn't a very good experience considering the price.

Update (2023) I'm leaving my original review and adding this to it to reflect our final experience with the apartment. We left the apartment complex and couldn't be happier! Ever year they hiked our rent, the water got stupidly expensive, and they stopped including electricity in the rent. When I first moved in it was $905 a month with a $35 cap on water expenses and electricity included. When I left they were wanting $1500 a month, overcharged us for water (often between $60-$120 because the water is shared in the building and ours seemed to be constantly leaking water but we were the ones who had to pay for it), and then started charging electricity. The electiricty was the same as the water... not metered separately but shared then divided up among the tenants. It didn't matter how much you tried cut back if the other apartments left their lights/air conditioners on all the time. It just became far too expensive to justify living there anymore. The apartments are nice and reasonably updated, but not enough to be paying $750 more a month in the span of 5 years... What's more is it hurt to see the apartments listed as 1,150 a month for new tenants, knowing we were being charged $1500. I know that apartment complexes will do this, charge a lower rate to get you in then slowly raise it... SLOWLY being the keyword in my mind... When I asked the apartments if there was anyway to get the lower rate since we had lived there for around 5 years and always paid rent on time, they said no. I asked about us moving into a different apartment as 'new tenant's' and they said they'd ask the hire ups and get back to me. They never did... I dunno, I know that pandemic made everything a little crazy, but we were able to find another apartment in the same part of town where the rent was just over $1000 a month, the water is reasonably charged, and we were in charge of our own electricity (as opposed to Pointe West where it's not sepimeteted). Definitely would not recommend this place to others... --------------------------------------------- It's honestly a great apartment. Its spacious and the updated kitchen is wonderful to have. The electricity is also included in rent which is great. Unfortunately Pointe West hasn't been immune to inflation. I'm paying roughly $450 dollars a month more than I was when I first moved in. It would feel outrageous (and still kind of does) if it weren't for the fact that housing everywhere has risen drastically. Due to covid precautions the Main Office is by appointment only and maintenance requests are for immediate issues. As a result there are quite a few small things we haven't called in about (leaky faucet, broken drawer). The water seems to be connected throughout each building because we had an issue where our water bill rose from $50 a month to $120. The complex recently looked into it and said there was an apartment in the building (not ours) that had an issue and that was the cause. We are still waiting to see if our bill goes back down. It's a little frustrating because we use very little water (we shower at the gym before work) but the bill has doubled. Some Pros of the apartment are: Animal Friendly, nice pool, electricity included (woot!), spacious apartment, masterbath, walk-in closet, balcony, update kitchen, responsive (for the most part) main office, and its located in a great part of town. Some Cons are: Ever-rising rent, shared water(?) has gotten expensive, limited access to the office, expensive 1-time pet fee due to complex using poo prints. Overall I genuinely enjoy living here and would recommend it. There may be a few bumps along the road, but they usually get settled fairly easily/quickly. Here's to hoping the economy let's up a little so rent in this area can start being reasonable again!

Beware of this place and look elsewhere. Not worth the aggravation of dealing with them. They use predatory tactics to keep you in leases longer, plain and simple.

Nothing but a headache with this complex. Was shown an updated 2 bed/ 2 bath apartment and after waiting almost 6 weeks, on June 21st I walked into anything but upgraded. They gave options as to what we could do to fix my disappointment but I ultimately got my money back. Minus the $400 deposit. Had to speak to upper management to get that back. They told me a check would come within 21 business days. Today (after my 3rd time emailing Katie), she told me they just sent the check out.
