Quality Inn Pierre-Fort Pierre

Im currently awake at 5:24 am and just waiting for the sun to come up so my family and I can leave! My kids wont go back to sleep since we were woken to the fire alarm at 4 am and when we went to see what was going on, we had to call the police ourselves since there didnt seem to be anyone working here. Pretty obvious this hotel isnt monitored and could have burned to the ground with no one knowing. The room was a wreck. The walls look like someone peed all over them in a pattern. The bathroom door wont shut and after reading the reviews, Im worried Im going to be going home with critters! We decided to take our son to a last minute hockey camp and were trying to save money on the stay, I can honestly say, we will sleep in the car next time rather than stay here! Guess I should have waited and told the whole story. 5:40am and fire alarm went off again for at least 20 min. At this point my son is in tears worried we are going to be in a fire. Its 5:56 and Im done loading my car and livid! When I got to the front desk, I asked about how to go about getting a refund, the front desk clerk asked why. I stated that since my family has been up since 4 am and we dont have an event until 8:30 and that we are now leaving due to safety. His response was well that wasnt the whole night. I then informed him that I was the one to call the cops and the owner and he stated he was there as well and it doesnt constitute any form of refund. All Im going to say, instead of arguing with the customer, apologies go a long way. I dont want to even be giving a one star review, this place should be shut down. Rooms: Below standards for the price. Safety: Obviously anyone is able to walk in and pull the alarm and no one is monitoring the front.

It was the most disgusting place I've ever stayed at. The front desk person said that the mattress I slept on looked like there was blood on it, (I have the pic) and that a person possibly died in that room. The reason for the 1 star is because that's the lowest the rating that was offered. I rate it a -10 or lower! Never again!

Had a large group who all liked their rooms. Beds were comfortable and place looked recently remodeled. Only negatives were that the pool was freezing for them so they didn't stay in long and the nearby freight trains. Decent breakfast and service.
