I got to know this credit card company right after getting rejected in Discover student credit card since I had to provide income while I was 18 years old to which I did not have at that time. They sent a mail about applying a credit card from 1fbusa, and I immediately online due to my desperation to build credit as early as possible. So if you were desperate like me, who had no income but have some savings and an understand of the consequences of getting into debt then yes this card is ok for starting to build credit for 18 years old. However, this credit card is not for those who have income from their job since there are better options out there, especially with the option of no annual fee and have better rewards. I have an annual fee of $55 due to available credit of being $1000 or more. Less than that it is $25 This card's purpose is only for starting to build credit. It has no rewards whatsoever and has a high interest rate of about 35%, so I highly suggest to not use this card on big purchases that you won't be able to pay back, maybe groceries and some annual subscriptions to keep it active and build some credit. There will be a 0% APR for 12 months, but that will just incentivize naive teenagers into spending thinking into spending more so unless you know what you're doing, then you'll be fine. I would rate this bank 4 or even 5 stars IF they actually have some rewards, cash back, or even removing the annual fee entirely since this card can be used for emergencies when the other cards are almost at their credit limit. The APR though I can kinda understand but then again it's too high for a college/high school student to pay on with little to no knowledge of the credit card world. Tldr; Get this card if you're are desperate to build credit early with no income in 18 years old. Otherwise, look for better options.

This card doesnt support Apple Pay or Google Pay. What an outdated company and astonishing lack of basic services for 2023

Awful credit card company. They prey on you. Dont ever choose to use this credit card company. I have been a customer since 2007 and regret it. Sad, because I used to appreciate their services. Do better.

Very tough to get ahold of. If you google search their number you get a 1-800 number to go thru who wont direct the call to the local branch anyways. Their local number is impossible to find on their web site as well as no luck google searching it either. Very frustrating when you cant get ahold of someone at the local branch.

I got the card my second year of going to college. It did what I needed it to do and was fine. My credit is excellent now and this card is why.
