        I was having some work done on my back and part of the procedure was done by the receptionist. The doctor stepped out and allowed her to finish the treatment. I'm not sure why or if she was qualified but either way this was not consulted with me and I felt uncomfortable. Prior to that day the treatment in the past was good and professional. I'm still in bewilderment why something like this happened. Edit: I understand if it was a CA but this was never explained to me by anyone and the person who was performing it was also the receptionist so it seemed odd to me. Also when I questioned her she seemed confused and didn't explain that she was a CA. Thank you.

        I hurt my upper back-neck a few months back. The aching lingered despite an abundant of treatments. This week I gave accupuncture a whirl. Wow. Just wow!! My shoulder doesn't hurt. My arm isn't numb. It's amazing! I asked so many ?s and learned so, so much! I highly recommend Dr Derek Rekow ! He was pleasant, knowledgeable and provided thorough treatment!!!! Would return and recommend!

      Sorry for the confusion Tony. In many clinics, CA’s or chiropractic assistants take extra training to perform therapeutic procedures. Our office has certified CA’s with that training. A lot of offices the doctor won’t perform any therapeutic procedures like ultrasound and has trained staff do these instead. There are many patients and only one doctor, therefore to get people in when they want to be seen, i must delegate this task to my CA’s. Hope this clears up your confusion.
