Bare Roots Gardening

Around here most landscapers put down sod, mow it, blow it, dump poison on it so it will grow...but we want a yard that looks good but is low maintenance, hardy, and a haven for pollinators and other creatures. Native perennials fit the bill and Zac knows his stuff! It will all fill in beautifully and we (and the critters) already love it. Before and after don't really show the magnitude of the project. Before, the only native perennials we had were weeds and thorny brambles. Now we have a fabulous variety and it smells wonderful, too!

After several disappointing experiences with two other landscape companies, Zac showed up and turned our pitiful yard into an oasis. Zac redid our sprinkler system which was botched by a previous company, resodded our entire yard, and designed/planted a beautiful variety of plants. Zac was great in designing and installing a waterfront garden of perennials and natives that gives us year-round color and texture as well as attracting pollinators. We are in our second bloom season since he installed and are delighted with the health and variety of our plants. This fall will be time for dividing and thinning. I love the work Zac/Bare Roots did for me. I wanted to maintain the natural feel of the yard.and have minimal upkeep. I especially love the container garden. He chose beautiful pots. Zac was dependable, professional and has remained available for my many questions.

Zac from Bare Roots Gardening has transformed my front yard into a thing of true beauty. Starting with removal of 20 year old deeply embedded shrubs, revising my irrigation system, amending the soil, bringing in beautiful plants and the finishing touches, Zac's work ethic was tremendous. At times I didn't think he would be able to finish because so many of my neighbors interrupted his work to chat with him! Zac planned an array of plants that will having my yard in bloom from early spring through the fall. I gaze out of my office window with enjoyment and pleasure every day. Thank you, Zac.
