While we appreciate that we had a pet friendly room, the ODOR was so strong it almost took your breath away.Its too bad, because the pet facility (where I could walk my dog was great. ) The desk staff was friendly and the breakfast staff was outstanding. The location to I 95 was so convenient. I hope that this hotel plans an update and they get rid of the rugs in the pet friendly rooms.

Walterboro from what I'm told has tons of restaurants to choice from they are only an hour drive to Beaufort and less than half the cost per night. Much more economical to stay here and drive the hour than pay twice as much just to see the water before you fall asleep. Rooms are quite dated and furniture has seen better days the couch was so very faded it looks like it was sun bleached. Not sure but it seems like the last time this place had an upgrade was the 80s by the looks of the "carpet squares" (I highly recommend slippers or slides when walking on the floors don't go barefoot) I highly recommend to the hotel owners to invest in some updates especially some new mattresses, lumpy old mattresses are not very comfortable and please for the love of all things sleep related toss the throw pillows in the trash they are not meant for beds get some regular full size bed pillows. I ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS bring my own pillow and blankets and "sleep pod" I do not put hotel bedding on my skin but I cannot imagine a single guest prefers those tiny throw pillows with zero support to a normal size bed pillow. Your 4 throw pillows on the king bed equal like 2 normal ones and any other BW I stay at with normal pillows has at least 4 big ones per bed 2 firm 2 soft to accommodate a range of sleepers. And please either replace that jacuzzi tub or find someone who can do a fiberglass patch. That crack will just breed mold mildew and a host of other nasty health problems.
Rooms: I stayed in the jacuzzi room. I do not like the cramped single 280sqft rooms I am slightly claustrophobic and have a hard time sleeping so "tight" so I chose the biggest available room like always just so happens it was the jacuzzi room. It was a double room one side was bedroom the other side living space and deep giant tub. I was directly across from the pool and 3 doors from the office. I was very comfortable and felt secure at this location.

Decent little hotel right off 95. Always a good thing when there's a wafflehouse and Ruby Tuesday in same vicinity.

Our room had a definite odor. And I don't believe rugs belong in any hotel rooms. Other than that the property was cute plenty of places to walk our dog. Plenty of choices for take out within three miles. Breakfast ends at 9 am which I don't understand. Over all it was an okay stop for overnight.
Food & drinks: Breakfast is included but unfortunately ends at 9 am sharp. Check out is at 10 so be prepared to rise and shine early if you want to take in a meal before getting back on the road.

We had a great overnight at the Best Western of Walterboro. Great staff! Unfortunately, I left one of my belongings behind in my room. I called the hotel & they worked with me to have it shipped back to me. So helpful! Thank you! Also, the breakfast staff was friendly & helpful! Will definitely stop there again if you ever happen to be in the area again!
