The Willows is a small charming community. It is an a older property but the newer management company that took over less than 2 years ago has made some major updates and changes to the community. They just finished updating the pool area and it looks amazing with new furniture, new BBQ area, and the ground resurfaced. The landscaping was updated not too long ago with beautiful flowers, and they perform Pest Control every Monday for anyone who needs it. The bark park has been updated with a new water fountain for the fur babies, there is 24 hour access to the gym, a family playground, and walking trails for residents to enjoy. Maintenance is always friendly and the office staff are always willing to help :)

We have been here for 2.5 years and love the community. Our kids have made good friends and so have we. The staff has done a good job at weeding out the rift raft and partying that was happing before they took over a little more than a year ago and are now starting to fix the neglected things from the previous owners. There are roaches as others have stated in reviews but they are the native OUTSIDE Ones that are a part of living in the south. There is pest control weekly but you have to put you name on the list. The workers have always been friendly and helpful to us and quick to fix things that dont get outsourced to another company. Just wanted to address some of the things others have complained about because we absolutely love this place and haven't had any issues.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!
Dont even let them try and prove the reviews wrong, because we gave them a chance was so disappointed with their service! Theres a new apartment being built right in front of this one and I highly recommend you just going there when its ready because theres a reason the rent is only $1000.
The only reason we moved in, in the first place, was because of a young man, named Roberto, who was working there for hardly even a week then. The area is quiet for its price, but the maintenance men do not do a good job. Not even a little. We had a few things needed fixed, and they are fast about fixing it, but they were so rough that he ended up breaking the door handle of the laundry door, and as well as then water heater door. Also, scratch the floors and walls, And that will come out of my deposit because of his mistakes. The front office has people from the laurels and they are so beyond rude. Its insane. They insist that they communicate, but dont realize that we have proof on our end of absolutely almost 0 communication. You can keep your apartment as clean as possible and there still be gnats and roaches on your balcony outside your front door and in the breezeway trying to get into your home. Its absolutely disgusting how many roaches Ive seen coming home from work at 5am around the front office/mailboxes and parking lots!! Theyll make you sign papers saying if you get roaches or bugs its your fault. lived here a year and never received any pest control service ever. I had an email saying that every Monday would be pest control, and we have not once received any of that service, as well as a few of the other neighbors weve spoken to. It smells like marijuana, no matter where you walk. Even in your own home, you can still smell it. Almost halfway through May they open the pool and have not been able to maintain it and keep it clean since then, I have pictures of it being green more times than it has been blue, and theyre supposed to be maintenance done to it every Monday morning. The parking is so ridiculous, there are people who dont even live here, taking front row and weve came home so many times and had to park in front of another building because every spot was taken, and only half of the building is occupied so it blows my mind that finding parking is that hard!

Update: finally leaving this dump. It's worse than it was a year ago.
Original Review:
New resident in deep regret. If you are trying to pay luxury apartment rent for a roach infested place with subpar maintenance then please go ahead and sign that lease. We have been here for a month now.
The apartment wasn't clean at move in, no big deal we cleaned up. We left after we got our keys and didn't move in till almost a week later. First day back, we spotted the roaches. I haven't seen house roaches in years and I'm terrified of them because they infest. The problem just got worse. We requested pest control, they only come on Mondays. Monday comes, they marked us as completed when no one showed up. I called the office and was assured that the system just did that, they will show up. They did not. We resubmitted the request and had to wait another week. So at this point we are about two weeks with nasty roaches. I emailed the office inquiring and my email was ignored. Pest control comes and tells us there's an infestation in the building. Yuck! The doors bring in pests from outside, we've witnessed crickets and roaches waltzing into our apartment. Now we are being forced to do a clean out for pest control! We just unpacked our things. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place!
Plumbing: Both toilets take multiple flushes to flush toilet paper. We submitted a request and they said there was no issue. We were not home when they come so of course it flushed when they tried it. We live there 24/7 and deal with the toilet almost overflowing.
Electrical: The ceiling fan in the living room flashed like we were in a disco. They came and "fixed" it. Once again, we were not home. We got back and the issue persisted. Had to resubmit the request with video evidence for them to return. The stove, one of the plates wasn't working. We tried pushing it in it still didn't work. They came to "fix" it and all they did was push it in and t turned on. Didn't stay long enough to observe that the plate makes popping electrical sounds. We don't use it.
Outside: They don't empty the dumpster frequently. It fills up as hundreds of people use it and then they threaten residents with fines. If you don't want people leaving trash outside the dumpster them empty the dumpster.
Overall, not a great experience. The two stars are for some of the grounds that are pretty and some of the apartment upgrades are nice.
