        Thankfully, since we have moved to Simpsonville we haven't had any issues. Shania, Jeanah and others have been serving me well. The only thing with GFCU is that they do not have any shared banks only local ATMs. So if they a shut down come up you can't go inside of another bank to access your money. I hope this can change in the future.

        First experience with this bank was not good. I deposited a check received from Rocket Mortgage and the bank tells me there will be a 7 to 14 day hold on all checks over $1000. Good thing I'm not in dire need of this money.. This bank gives me any issues at all with my direct deposits I will close all accounts and go to another bank. Seriously annoyed and unimpressed with this bank..

      Dear Robert, We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the hold on your check. We use check verification software to provide unbiased hold recommendations. When the teller ran the check through, it recommended this particular hold. In the future, if you need the funds immediately, you can take the check to the financial institution that the funds will be drawn on to expedite access to the funds. Unfortunately, check fraud is on the rise and crooks are getting good at creating fake checks that look like they come from an insurance company, another financial institution, etc. If we had released the funds and the check was returned, you would have been in the position of having to pay us back. Our goal is to deliver the best possible customer service while protecting the deposits of all members.
