Thanks your feedback and the opportunity to improve. While we serve select clients still, we haven’t had residential closings as a primary part of our practice for almost a year. In reviewing our records we haven’t had a Karen as a party on a transaction since 2022, and that closing went from file open to fund in less than 10 days. More generally, law offices like ours are subject to the same delays that every other transaction participant is subject to, and while we would love the be able to control the pace of closings, we are rarely in the position to do so; lenders, buyers, sellers, and sometimes courts all have more say on the closing date than we would. This includes the timely participation in the transaction, and return of signed documents. Given the tremendous upfront outlay of expenses that our office - like many other attorneys - invests in each transaction, we have the same goal as most other transaction participants, namely the prompt, accurate, and efficient closing of a contract.
