My precious uncle passed away the day after Christmas and it was an incredibly painful loss for our family. Mountain View Funerals and Cremations handled his funeral and cremation and we are so thankful for them. They were so helpful and compassionate to our family from beginning to end. Their communication was wonderful and they made an already stressful and heartbreaking time much easier for us. Our family is so grateful for everything Mountainview Funerals and Cremations did to help honor the life of someone so special to us!

My father passed away in May. We had them do everything for us.. everything felt so uneasy.. well recently we had another family member pass and went with a different funeral place.. the place went to put this place to shame. When I picked my fathers ashes up I got the death certificates and that was it. When we went this time the company gave us a full packet and even gave us a one year envelope to open on the memorial of the passing of our loved ones. We picked his clothing for the cremation. But was never given that open with my father. Sad that I was just put off like that during the hardest moment in my life.

My father passed away and Mountain View. Really helped us out. We live states away from South Carolina. They went over all the paperwork and helped us with the cremation and were able to ship my father ashes to us states away. And everything was set up and easy for us. Thank you Mountain View

Recently my Mother's husband passed away and Mountain view Funerals and Cremations were in charge of the cremation/memorial arrangements. We all met with the director before the memorial, my mother paid for the costs of cremation, 12 death certificates, memorial arrangements, etc. When she went back to the funeral home to pick up the 12 death certificates, there were only 11 in the package. When she asked the receptionist why there were only 11, she was told that someone from the family came by earlier and asked for one. First of all my mother was the only person who had legal right to the death certificates not to mention that she was the one that paid for them and oh yeah, it was HER husband. The funeral has apologized and said it was a mistake but this is not acceptable. Please be aware that this funeral home cannot be trusted to keep their word and can not follow simple procedures. They even asked my Mother to provide her ID before handing over the 11 certificates. My question now is: Did they ask the family member for their ID and if so why did they give 1 certificate to them because they obviously were not the wife of the Deceased. DO NOT TRUST MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL IN PICKENS, SC !
