        My family and I rented a vacation house through the Lachiotte Company last fall for the upcoming summer. They cancelled our reservation after we paid a deposit, stating that the owners decided they want the house that week. We have had to find our own alternative house at a much higher price due to the last notice. They offered no compensation or credit for the financial or time inconvenience. We also rented a house through Lachiotte last summer, and we arrived to find the home filthy. Even after requesting cleaners to come while we were staying, the floors, kitchens and bathrooms were in unacceptable condition. Do not rent through this company.
