Hampton Inn North Myrtle Beach-Harbourgate

The day of my visit the metal frame of the bed was sticking out to where I could have cut my leg when getting out of the bed, I called down to the front to see if they can have someone to come fix the bed and hide these frames. They mentioned that maintenance had left for the evening which was before 9:00 p.m. They mentioned that I had to wait until the next day for them to come to fix the bed, so as I slept that night I was very cautious of getting in and out the bed so I didn't scratch my leg up with those metal bars sticking out. All four of my pillows were extremely flat, which made me uncomfortable while sleeping. These pillows did not have any fluff in them. One of the elevator was out of order. A couple of times I had to use the stairs which was not part of my plan. Also this hotel was in walking distance to this really good restaurant called Filet, really good seafood, which I had sushi.

Easy off ramp coming access. Great shopping and food all within 2-5 miles radius. Had an elevator out on my visit and a young softball team had the one mostly tied up. Coffee and breakfast was decent. Walking distance to a fancy steakhouse on the harbor it sits. Nice location overall Nearby activities: Lots of shopping retailers nearby 2 miles Safety: Felt safe. Police officer stopped in for breakfast one morning Walkability: Steak and seafood house about 100 yards due west on sidewalk Food & drinks: Standard breakfast with milk n juices

Booked a ground floor suite and connecting double queen for the family months in advance. Checked in on line and received electronic keys for both rooms. When I arrived after a 7 hour drive my connecting room to the corner suite was not available. The staff blamed the "new" Hilton reservation system but I have a feeling someone overrode my reservation and let someone stay longer in the room I booked. On the safety side the side door is always open to the staircase and anyone can get into the building bypassing the front desk. We didn't feel very safe at all. I'll be booking a different hotel for my next trip to the area. They are just not very good in my opinion. Rooms: Rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade.

The staff was very friendly. The room was really comfortable. Breakfast waffles were delicious.

We arrived in the hotel late. The bathroom was not clean, and the toilet was dirty inside and out. Hair in the tub, the counter had dried soap and there were toenail clippings in the side of the bed. We called down to the front desk and were able to go into another room. The second room was clean and there were no issues.
