Candlewood Suites Charleston - Northwoods, an IHG Hotel

ROACHES! We stayed here 3/29/2024 for my sons Naval Graduation. The front desk service was great. However, they wait until check-in to tell you about the extra charges for an animal and smoking deposit even if you don't have a pet or are a smoker. The rooms appeared nice and clean with some provided toiletries (shampoo, soap, conditioner). The room has a fully stocked kitchenette with a full-sized fridge and ice maker. (Dish detergent provided) We found baby roaches throughout our room. In the kitchenette area, the bathroom, and in one of our beds. Although advertised, our room did not have a DVD player. The hotel does not provide breakfast but does provide free coffee all day (including add-ins like cream and sugar) in the room across from the front desk. You can purchase food items and toiletries in this area as well. Located within walking distance to a mall and several restaurants.

Its not even a safe place to work or stay at. Its awful, management is awful, no respect toward no one its almost a new argument every day from employees. I hear the own workers screaming at each other from two halls away. Only candlewood thats so awful, I dont recommend at all. PLASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE.

Stay away! Dirty room! Bathroom mirror had spots all over Floor dirty. The silverware tray dirty. Then there is a lot of Spanish speaking men in the hallways and fitness center. They were laying in the hallways in their underwear and one guy was outside my door on the phone filthy dirty. I was supposed to stay another night next week but already canceled. Stay away!!! Just killed two cockroaches! I have video of one
