CHS Flight School

Great experience! The instructors are kind, professional, and excellent at what they do. The simulator is a low stress and cost effective way to practice skill before trying them in the air. I worked primarily with Mike Hinde, he is an extremely knowledgeable and patient teacher who can adapt his teaching technique to match his student's learning style and was able to make a flexible schedule work. Highly recommend CHS Flight School!

I came to Charleston for the accelerated commercial program. It was very well laid out and efficient. I would definitely recommend it.

This place advertises aircraft rentals,and that's what this review pertains too. Im a retired USAF/airline pilot. I rented small aircraft locally for the last 7 years just to still be able to slip the surlys until I lost my medical recently. I now fly w a CFII who has been renting from CHS Flt School. In the last 2 weeks, hes twice had an aircraft scheduled for rent only to be cancelled on short notice for student training. People make plans for this stuff well in advance only to be bumped a day before. This place may be fine for GETTING flight instruction, but if youre looking for a place to rent from, youd do well to find someplace else thats actually reliable.
