2 ESTATES SETTLED (very complicated estates settled in North Charleston): My mom died 1-6-22 and my brother who was taking care of her died one week later 1-12-22. THE SETTLING OF THESE 2 ESTATES WAS ONE THE OF THE HARDEST AND MOST COMPLICATED THINGS I HAVE EVER HAD TO DO, AND STEADMAN LAW HELPED ME EVERY STEP OF THE WAY AND MADE THIS AS EASY AS WAS POSSIBLE. There were no wills for either my mom or brother and for the most part, my brother was the only beneficiary. I will not go into details about it, but almost totally unknown to me, the estate had a very large amount of money associated with it. Part of this amount was associated with the 2 condos they lived in. There were also properties in another state that had to be probated and settled too. Autumn (a paralegal law clerk at Steadman Law) helped with settling all the money and was especially helpful in filling out all documents and selling of the 2 condos and out of state properties. I live in SC and am 2 HRS away from Charleston. I only had to drive to Charleston 1 time for the initial consultation, but everything else was settled by electronic documents and email. Below are the statements I send to her concerning the settling of both these estates: I wanted to mention a few things and give credit where credit is due. First and foremost, when I was under water with both these estates, thanks for reaching below the surface, grabbing my hand, pulling me up and saving me from drowning and thanks for holding my hand every step of the way afterwards. Second, you have answered every email I have sent within 10 mins or less. Of everyone professional and nonprofessional I have ever dealt with electronically like this, you are by far the best at answering emails and never missing any of my emails. Third, we would highly recommend your firm to anyone that needs your services because you have been so good at settling my brothers and my moms estates. We do have 2 family members that live in the Charleston area. Fourth, if we need more lawyer services in SC, we will probably try to solicit your services again even though we are 2 HRs away from you in North Myrtle Beach.
