The rooms were beyond disgusting and the fact that Ripken suggests teams stay at this place is a bad look on them.

Stayed here Sunday - Saturday with our baseball team. Had to wait almost 3 hours just to get checked in. There were no blankets or pillows for the murphy bed or the sofa bed, just a sheet. Housecleaners did not come to our room once this whole week! We called and asked for a broom, towels, and trash bags. Did not receive any. Ended up having to use pool towels for body towels the entire week. Opened up our kitchen cabinet and there was a cockroach in our silverware container. There were also cockroaches by the pool. The location is great and overall the pools/ facilities are nice. However, the room service and hotel overall are just poor.

We got there at 330. Got to the desk at 4pm. She said we could have our bracelets for the pool and access. However, our room wasn't ready, and they would call us. So we went and parked and went to explore around the hotel. We looked at all the pools and then went to eat on the second floor at the Crow's Nest. The fries were great, but burger not as much. We purchased a refillable souvenir cup. (More on that to come) The front office still hadn't called so we stopped in. The line was even longer. The office lady had skipped over us 4 times. I finally said excuse me can I at least ask why we still didnt have our room. She said we should be up really soon. By 7pm my kids were extra ready to.go.as we had been waiting over an hour in the office this time. So we went and changed into our bathing suits in the car as we had nowhere else to change. We went swimming and then came back to the office as we still hadn't received a phone call. At 830 they tried to say our room was now occupied. Then sent security up to see if anyone was in the room. There wasn't. So we finally got into a room around 930. By the time we unloaded and got to mcds it was 10pm. We got back and upon looking at the room I'm not sure why I waited for cleaning, the was blue goop under the bed, the shower was stopped up and clogged with hair, the pans had crusted food on them, my bed's sheets were still wet, the chairs and light fixtures haven't been wiped in probably years, the bathroom door had what looked like dried soap scum, the bathroom sink had dried toothpaste still on it, there were things sticking out of the base of the bed that could do some real damage to a person, there was boogers on the wall of the bathroom, bloody something on the night stand, and none of the charge ports on the nightstands would work. And the beds were hard. I'm sure I'm missing something somewhere. The parts we did enjoy....the tiki bartender was super nice and kind and the daquari had rum! The pools, even the outdoor ones were super warm. Oceanfront was nice and I could see the sunrise over the ocean was nice. That's about it. Rooms: Disgusting, beds were hard, charger ports don't work, plugs didn't hold well, bathtub was clogged, nasty Nearby activities: Lots of things to do but I wouldn't say "walking distance" it's a ways down the road to the fun activities of myrtle beach like the skywheel Food & drinks: Tiki bartender was great. Crow's Nest the tables were dirty and food wasn't that great. The food from the tiki bar comes from the Crow's Nest. The compass rose breakfast was pretty good but the dishes weren't really clean and still had crusted food on them
