Atlantica Resort

Location location location. You can walk out the pool area and be on the beach in seconds, or walk along the beach and be on the boardwalk without ever having to get on a sidewalk near the road. You can walk the entire length of the boardwalk all the way down to Pier 2 without ever crossing a road (which includes the SkyWheel, the main strip of Myrtle Beach with gay dolphin and tons of shopping and restaurants). The staff was friendly and we felt safe during our week-long stay. Only thing I wish they had was a dedicated bike locking station. We ended up taking our bikes to our room to put them on the balcony instead. Also the parking is one street over but it didn't bother us because we walked almost everywhere.

THIS place is a total dump. From the moment I walked Into the lobby I could see the filth. Checked in, went to the elevators and could just see the filth everywhere in the lobby windows looked like they weren't cleaned and years and could see the dirty indoor pool area woth trash everywhere. Trash cans were over flowing. Got up to our room had trouble opening the door. The paint was all chipped off the door and looked like someone had beaten the door with a hammer or something had dents all in it. Got into the room a foul odor hit me right in the face. The room looked absolutely nothing like advertised in the photos from expedia. They had the same photos on there direct website to. The pictures advertise a nice looking modern room with new furniture. The furniture looked like it was out of 1970. Stains all over the couch and carpet. Dining table chairs were busted table was full of scratches. Both bedrooms were horrid looking. Bathroom looked filthy dirty also. The tvs were little 24 inch tvs. One was broken from the base and duct taped back on. I could not stay there especially with a toddler. Went back down to the desk the women was very rude. She says what if I upgrade you to a 3 bedroom. So I go check that room out and was total filth to. Same conditions as the last room. Went back down to the desk I was livid mad. Told the women I wanted a refund. She refused the refund and admitted that they do false advertise the way the rooms look. Thankfully I had booked with expedia. I called expedia and explained the situation and they had refunded me the $2000.00 that it cost for the week. Expedia stated they would reach out to the hotel for the false advertising and total filthy dump this place is. Thankfully I was fortunate enough to be able to get into another hotel down the road. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Total dump. Looks nice from the outside but the inside is a dump.
