Got married Friday March 15th and drove straight to what we thought would be our 5 day- 4 nights in paradise. Wrong. We expected cleanliness to say the least. The check in desk is absolutely breathtaking, but dont let it fool you. Step off the elevator and feel like you are walking into a motel 6 and a 1980s time bomb. This place has never been renovated. The carpet was so nasty and old you couldnt even feel comfortable walking around barefoot. My husband looked at me like are we being punked? This is where we are spending our romantic honeymoon?! We left the room and drove around for hours in the area looking for other accommodations but they were all sold out because of the holiday so we were forced to stay here or sleep in our car. Sleeping in the bed was like sleeping on the floor without a pillow. I did not feel safe with our parking accommodations. It is across from the resort that is surrounded by run down outdoor motels. The evening staff is the definition of sketchy. They have no concept of customer service at all. I did not catch the young woman managers name but she was the friendliest one on site. Consider this establishment a value hotel. I would not call it a resort. If you are looking for somewhere to relax, Save your money and stay at Hilton palms royale resort, or travel further to Florida. Worst honeymoon ever thanks to this hotel from hell.
