I struggled with writing this review but realized that when booking my next trip, I saw a La Quinta and immediately realized how horrible the stay was. I stayed at this location July 2023 for my nieces dance competition. I booked a king suite and the room was just for me. They gave me the first available king suite and it was disgusting. There was flooring, not carpeting, in the room and my feet were black when I walked on it. I mentioned something to the front desk to please clean the floor but they never did. The beds have never been changed. They had a huge dip in them from thousands of people sleeping on them probably since the hotel was there. I went out to the pool and there were no lounge chairs out there. I was sitting on a regular chair and while I was out there, someone from the state came to test the water and then determined the pool needed to be shut down. I never got to use the pool the entire stay. My niece was staying at another hotel but she she wanted to extend her stay one more day so we all stayed. I asked to extend my stay one more day and they had to change my room, which was fine. This new room was much better but again, the beds all had dips in them and were very uncomfortable. I was looking for hotels for the dance competition again in a different state and when I saw the La Quinta, I immediately avoided it. The location of this one in Myrtle Beach was perfect but unfortunately it was disgusting.

We stayed at this hotel for a cheer competition. The room was $200 for one night. It was sadly one of the cheapest available but it looked decent. Its not. The beds are hard as a rock. Except when you are near the middle it caves in. It wasnt just one bed, it was the same on the other bed in our room. They didnt send housekeeping when they were made aware of someone elses hair in the shower. So obviously the room was not throughly cleaned. On top of all of this, they had wasps in the lobby. As I was walking back to my room I was stung by one. When management was made aware, the manager SEAN rolled his eyes and said theyre not responsible for any bugs in their hotel. There was no apology for what happened and dismissed me. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Its not worth your money.
