I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with the lack of care and unprofessionalism exhibited by Carolina Country Homes. Our experience, particularly with Greg Brooks, has been disheartening. Greg sold us on a house with promises that were not fulfilled. Changes were made to the windows and other aspects of our home without any prior disclosure from Greg. Despite being assured that we would receive the same exact product even with a different builder, we discovered these alterations only after the home was delivered. Greg's response to our concerns was dismissive, showing a severe lack of care. When we escalated the issue to the owner, Mark Street, the response was equally apathetic. Mark asserted that nothing could be done about the changes, leaving us with a home that deviated significantly from what we expected. The contractor provided by Carolina Country Homes displayed a clear lack of care in their workmanship, evident in the numerous issues and damages we encountered. Door frames were left with multiple nail holes, and the flooring was poorly executed, leading to subsequent problems. Even after attempts to rectify the flooring issue, the result was subpar, with gaps, breaks, and gashes remaining. When I brought these concerns to Mark Street's attention, his response was unhelpful. The offset molding in the house, a significant issue for us, was met with indifference. Mark's suggestion to address the problem with the molding guy from the builder was invalid, as the molding was placed by their provided contractor. Our overall experience revealed a lack of care and concern for customer satisfaction beyond the initial sale. Despite communicating our issues with kindness and understanding, we were met with an attitude of "not our problem." Carolina Country Homes' poor customer service and lack of care have left us deeply dissatisfied. While modular homes can be a great option, I strongly advise against choosing Carolina Country Homes if you seek true satisfaction and customer service.

Our Biggest Problem was that it had rained for weeks and insisted on bringing the crane in our pasture to put the house on the foundation. the crane got stuck twice and had to be pulled out and we have two deep ruts in our pasture. Brick Mason's were not provided a Porta Potty and our woods were covered in Paper towels and Feces. on CCCH's Defense the Porta Potty Company would not put one in because it was so muddy unknown to CCCH. but the staff was great to work with and have been very nice. i would recommend them if the weather was dryer. the company did provide us the white railing to cover the front porch at their cost.

I am very sorry you feel that way and I understand your frustration. All I can say is that we worked extensively on repairing and trying to solve your issues with the sun reflecting onto the siding and the moisture in the house, but at the end of the day, after getting 3rd party's involved, we had to conclude these were not issues of our making and we had done all we could be reasonably expected to do, and more, to help.Again, I understand your frustration and am truly sorry that things turned out the way they did.

I’m truly sorry that we have not met your expectations but, I would also like to express how surprised we are to receive this review so long after the fact. Our records show that our last communication was in March 2023 when we had comeback to take care of the last service/flooring issues.Regarding the impact of switching manufacturers, we did discuss both the advantages and disadvantages of each manufacturer before you ordered the house and the documentation the manufacturer required that you sign provided extensive details of the specifications of the home. It is not possible that the same floorplan from two different manufacturers would ever be identical, each manufacturer has their own trim approach. You are correct in that, you and I did discuss these issues prior to closing and I explained then that, given the documentation you had signed and the fact that the manufacturer of the house just didn’t provide many of the trim items you were expecting, we could not make the house look the same as if coming from the other manufacturer. I did agree, per your request, to change out the window to gridless, albeit not the window you had originally expected. I don’t have any recollection or record of a conversation about molding, but molding is installed by the manufacturer. We do have at least one display model from each of the manufacturers we do business with so customers can see how each manufacturer trims their homes. We try our best to make sure customers understand that, given the extensive conversation, complexity of the product and changes that often occur through the sales process, they closely review the final manufacturers’ floorplan, elevation, pictures and spec sheets before they sign them. I don’t know what to say about the “quality of workmanship” issues as this is the first we are hearing about them. I can say, having reviewed our service records, that we and the manufacturer responded to every issue raised from leaking toilets, to the normal punch list service items and the issues with the floor .. even beyond the normal warranty period.Again, I am sorry and it pains me that we did not meet your expectations.

Thanks for the review .. it's a difficult call when there's been heavy rain. We try to stick to the schedule as best we can but it does sometimes make for a more difficult and messy job. So sorry about the Porta Potty issue, we obviously need some better communication with them.
