Kilburnie is a wonderful place to stay. The room was very nice and comfortable, and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The art, architectural and landscaping work in the Inn and at Craig Farms was so unique and beautiful. I would recommend this inn to anyone traveling to the Lancaster or surrounding areas.

Kilburnie is a charming, historic bed and breakfast located in Lancaster, South Carolina. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, it offers 5 unique and clean rooms, each decorated with luxurious furnishings and equipped with a fantastic spa tub. Although we only stayed for one night and missed out on breakfast, given that the owner, Johannes, has a background as a caterer and restaurateur in New York City, we expect it to be delicious. We're eager to return for a longer stay.

I couldnt wait to write this review! EXCEPTIONAL is the only way to describe our stay at Kilburnie. Johannes is the perfect host. Everything about our stay was first class. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, classic but with modern amenities like the incredible massage tub. The grounds are immaculately kept. Be sure to explore the trails on the property. Absolutely gorgeous surroundings. You can tell that Johannes takes real pride in the property. Be sure to get him to take you on a tour and tell you the history. Its a fascinating story. And without a doubt, let him cook you breakfast - INCREDIBLE. He definitely made us customers for life. Well be back soon for sure.

Outstanding stay. I was in The Captain James Walk-up Suite. Very spacious, and lovely decor, in the room and throughout the house. The hydro therapy whirlpool bath was amazing. The views from every room were a treat. The trails on property are so peaceful, well maintained and a great way to start any day. Johannes, your culinary skills, knowledge and history of the area, as well as the tour of your private home made this trip even more enjoyable. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

By far the best B and B we've every stayed in. The house was fascinating, the food out of this world, and our host, Johannes, was the best. Very well appointed and VERY relaxing. We will be back!!
