WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The AC hardly works, it is very very hot in the rooms. If you are next to a stairwell, you will hear the slamming door all day and night. There is trash throughout the hotel. The drinks and food are very expensive, as well as the rooms. I just found out they charged us double for our rooms. And when I called to get it fixed they said they couldnt do anything about it and just gave us $100 off. The location is great but I wouldnt stay there again. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

They charged us over double what our bill was. Don't stay here unless you want your money stolen.
Rooms: No AC. Our phone didn't work. Our corner room was next to the exit door that would slam shut waking us up early in the mornings.

A wonderful hotel on beachfront property, with an active lifeguard. The hotel has been newly renovated with a wonderfully large lobby and dedicated hotel staff to greet you upon arrival. Checking in was friendly and quick. The rooms are spacious, and the air conditioning actually works! Theyve done a wonderful job in the remodel and upkeep. Theres a restaurant on the premises, Blue has a wonderful menu and very friendly and efficient staff. There are two shops on the property also with one being on the ground floor that has spa supplies and outfits, and one upstairs on the lobby level that does have T-shirts, flip-flops, and has also freshly made coffee drinks and a few food items which are mostly desserts. Their ice cream freezer was empty and staff usually just ignores you and is constantly on the phone speaking a foreign language which wasnt in Spanish. Other than that there are many amenities, including a very large, outdoor swimming pool with actual lanes if you want to go out and do some laps especially when its not busy. Theres also a very nice indoor pool for days when theres inclement weather. Weve stayed here previously and will be back again with 12 of us. We had two very large suites. And two other king rooms, all oceanfront. Whether youre here for a convention or other event, or just a romantic getaway this is the perfect hotel.
Rooms: The rooms have been renovated and are quite nice. The one good thing also, is they have the total room darkening drapes for that afternoon nap.
Food & drinks: The restaurant,Blue has an excellent selection of food and great presentation. The wait staff is efficient and very friendly. The atmosphere is casual elegance with great views. There is room service which they deliver in a brown paper bag. Are they charge you five dollars for the plastic used to keep the food. Did you deliver it to your door in that bag. The people to bring it to your room are friendly and very quick. Room service is fast and pleasant.

This is our familys 4th visit to HH and definitely not our last! Weve stayed at the Westin as well as Marriott Grande Ocean so far and this resort may actually be our favorite:)
The staff is friendly and helpful, hotel itself and rooms are very clean, beach (just steps from the hotel) and pool/pool deck perfect, drinks from coffee shop delish, resort activities are well worth checking out and its right down the street from everything you could possibly need! We didnt want to leave and cant wait to come back!!!!
Im a pretty picky traveler and I honestly have very little to complain about except for the one community microwave for the entire resort.
Rooms: Very clean, comfortable beds, pumps of shampoo-conditioner-body wash on shower wall, updated rooms, spacious balcony
Nearby activities: Theres a couple great mini golf places right down the street.

Walkability: Theres a restaurant just north of the hotel (look for red umbrellas) that you can walk right up to from the beach! Delicious fish tacos
Noteworthy details: Rent the bikes! $25 for a 24 hour period.
Beautiful beach! Lifeguards on duty. Dig for sand dollars so fun. Also found some baby hermit crabs and others saw stingrays. Its beautiful and calm early Im the day and great waves for boogie boarding later in the afternoon.
If you bring your own umbrella the guys on the beach have a special drill to make installation so much easier!
Pool and jacuzzis were great! Plus theres a deep water pool attached to the lap pool

Exceptional service from staff, excellent location, below average rooms, albeit clean.
Two beautiful pools, including a deep (13ft) pool. Great poolside bar too. Ocean is just a few feet from pools and beautiful area.
Rooms are rough. The Marriott has been here for a long time and shows it. Used a suite night award, and their only suite was non-ocean facing. Asked for a normal room facing ocean, which they happily accommodated.
Great for families. Cannot emphasize how lucky this property is to have the excellent staff they do, would be rated way lower otherwise.
