Grand Hilton Head Inn, Ascend Hotel Collection

Nothing to say besides horrible experience! No parking space avallable, everything was under constructions which was never mentioned everything is dirty and messy, room was with a lot of problems, and didn't get the room that I have ordered and they're common "Booking over booked". Definitely doesn't worth the money *STAY AWAY*!!! Disappointed. Rooms: Rooms were dirty, stained sheets, and filthy bathrooms. Noteworthy details: Theyre under constructions and their costumer service is horrible.

I can't say enough kind things about the employees here. We had a MVA that left us stranded. They couldn't let us stay in our room after check out, but they went above and beyond by letting us keep our bags at the front desk while we waited for our ride to arrive. They let us sit by the pool and made sure we had waters to drink. It's often hard to find truly caring people, but the entire staff truly cares. Several employees came up to us and asked if we were okay because they heard about our accident. If any of the employees rrsd this, Thank you again for being so kind to us during a difficult time. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was delicious!! They are undergoing renovations, but we weren't bothered by it at all. It's going to be beautiful when completed.

Don't waste your money. As soon as you walk into the front door you're in a construction zone. Parking is non existent. Hotel has like 15 parking spots for the entirety of the guest. Their solution is to park a mile down the road. Have fun at night walking back in the pitch black because Hilton head has apparently never heard of a street light. Rooms were ok...and by ok I mean paint off the walls in the bathroom painters tape on the ceiling ...shower handle is backwards so hot is cold and cold is hot. Front desk lady wasn't pleasant at all. Also be sure to not accidently park in the gated area right next to the hotel or your car will be towed and if you made the mistake like myself and many others did. You'll be jumping the fence to get back in your car to get it out if doesn't get towed first. Felt bad because I took the last parking spot on the entire street while 8 more cars were circling around trying to figure out where they'd park at the hotel they spent their money on to stay there. Over all first experience at Hilton head and it'll be my last. Place is boring, food is mid, and night time is extremely dark. Better bring some high powered flash lights and a gun if you plan on going to the beach at night since you'll be walking down pitch black roads and the beach is absolutely dark. No lights anywhere around this place.

Do not book this hotel if you actually want your room. I booked a room block for 24 rooms on March 1 through choice hotels and followed with with the hotel directly on March 13. I spoke with both the front desk person and manager who gave me a confirmation number and took my credit card number for our High School soccer team. I called today - two days out of our stay - and was told they dont have the rooms available and there was nothing they could do. They are dishonest and seem overwhelmed.
