= Overview (TLDR) = I recently got my car back after a 3 month long wait for parts from the Kia parent company. So why the 5-star review? I'll tell you - Jaiden Logsdon and the service team at Fred Anderson Kia of Greer did an excellent job handling this situation and were professional and friendly the entire way through; once the repairs were finally able to move forward, they fixed my car to the point that it drives like it's brand new. If you don't read any further, know that the local team here at Kia of Greer did their best in every situation and I'd happily recommend them for Kia servicing. = Details (long post) = This is the story of how a three month long wait to get my car back resulted in a 5-star review. Now, for a few details. I brought my car in for servicing in early November. It was rattling and I knew something big was wrong, but I didn't know what. The team at Kia of Greer were able to quickly diagnose the issue - it related to a gear in the transmission; I needed a replacement. Kia offers a phenomenal warranty and the part and work were covered, so I approved the work. Both Kia of Greer and I knew this involved ordering a part and expected there would be a wait time to get it in. Neither of us anticipated it would be 3 months! For the next three months, I would check in on the car as it sat on the lot and Jaiden would provide what updates he could. Unfortunately, that boiled down to: they couldn't get information on where the part was, where it would be made, how Kia would source it, if it had been shipped, or anything else. This had to be frustrating for him and I'm sure my own frustration showed through a time or two, as well. I want to re-iterate that Jaiden and the team handled this situation professionally and as best they could (without a part, they were as stuck as I was). Eventually, Jaiden recommended that I open a ticket with the Kia Customer Care team (who were also wonderful) in the hopes that doing so would force things along. He may have been right as once I did, it only took about another month for Kia to deliver the part. I'm sure this was an uncomfortable situation for the service teamwho again, did everything that they could during this timebut they kept a positive outlook and continued to try to find ways to source a part. I have to question how, in 2024, a company doesn't feel the need to keep its dealers up-to-date with how, where, and when a part will arrive in support of their own vehicles. So while I'm disappointed in the Kia brand, I am NOT disappointed with the local service team at Kia of Greer. Once they had the part in hand, they quickly installed it and some wiring that had been recalled between the time I dropped the car off and the time they FINALLY got the part in, and I had my car back on the road and driving like new. It's been a long journey, but I'm very impressed by Jaiden and the local Kia team (and the Kia Customer Service people, for that matter). I hope that Kia (the parent company) can get their act together and better support their customers and service people, though. Lots to chew on, but if you have a Kia and live nearby, I can heartily recommend the Kia of Greer service team - they're wonderful!

I almost hate to bring my car here even though they do a good job. I've had my car almost 10 years and do not have a payment. It never fails that everytime I bring my car in for a simple service, I know I'm going to get annoying phone calls from their sales team while I'm still waiting for service or after I have gotten home. Omg if I wanted to trade my car in I would. Your calls make me want to go to Toyota next just out of spite. It's not a good deal for me to give you my car in return for a car with payments.

Super polite, fast service, got the oil changed and they took care of a recall issue I asked about without having me have to make another appointment.
