Doctors here are fantastic. The scheduling person is incredibly rude and curt.

I had carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve surgery on my right hand and arm in 2018. I recently had surgery on my left thumb (CMC joint arthroplasty) after shots were no longer helping. Dr. Palmer performed all the surgeries. He explains everything and is an amazing surgeon. The staff is really nice. I am receiving therapy from Jeremy now, and he explains what I need to do at each visit and what I need to do at home. I highly recommend Dr. Palmer for problems with your hands and also Jeremy if you need therapy.

I very rarely leave negative reviews but I feel that its a must this time. In all honesty, I have never been treated the way Dr Palmer treated me. Pretty much as soon as he entered the room, his whole demeanor was rushed, rude, and sarcastic. Not only did he not explain anything about the condition of my wrist (simply stating that I have tendinitis), he didnt give any suggestions for treatment beyond wearing a brace. Any time I tried to voice my concerns about the brace, seeing as I am a single mother of three and the brace makes daily tasks difficult, I was met with snark and sarcasm. I can put you in a cast to immobilize it, is that what you want? That comment was callous and unnecessary. I was so taken aback by his whole general attitude, I forgot to ask about a steroid injection. Which, I think should have been offered as a form of treatment without me having to bring it up. So now, after completely wasting my time and gas traveling from Gaffney to Greenville, Im having to find another doctor for a second opinion and to inquire about a steroid injection. I truly hope Dr Palmer reads this and takes it to heart. He needs to take a moment to listen and HEAR his patients and not make them feel ignorant and unimportant.

Customer Service could use a lot of help. I called to make an appointment for pain in my dominant hand and wrist which was causing me to not be able to use my hand. The person helping me schedule an appointment talked to me as if I were inconveniencing her and was an idiot, then informed me it would be over a month before they could see me. I let them know I would go else where and that also did not sit well with her. I have an appointment at Bon Secours in less than a week to get help for my issue. The individual helping me there was extremely kind and compassionate during our conversation. I understand offices are busy, I worked in an office that saw around 200 patients a day and was in charge of scheduling, but a little bit of empathy would have made me feel better about the wait... instead I hung up the call on the verge of tears and would rather go anywhere else than this office.
