I can't say enough about the elder care team at Monk Law Firm. Cindy, Liz and Kristin have been fantastic helping me navigate Medicare, POA, and assisted living options and paperwork. They are great at what they do, understand the system and are extremely helpful. Having a social worker on staff that understands the assisted living system is key! Kristin has been a wonderful asset in my corner.

Recently I had the privilege to collaborate with Kristin Whitten, BSW and Elder Advocate/Social Worker for Monk Law Firm, to transition their client from rehab to assisted living. As the owner of a senior move management company, I was amazed that a elder law firm had such a position to help in this way. Their client did not have any family in the area to advocate for them ("Solo Ager"). Since his POA lived in NY, and not in good health, Kristin was in charge of making all of the arrangements. This included locating an appropriate assisted living, overseeing the discharge from the re-hab. along with engaging our relocation services. Kristin's expertise and oversight was spot on in making sure the clients medical, social and financial needs were all considered. This transition happened quickly and Kristin was able to navigate all the necessary services needed and communicated with the clients POA every step of the way. I think it's wonderful that Monk Law Firm offers this help to their clients.

Monk Law, more specifically Robert Lack, is a legal partner that thinks of the client first and foremost. He puts law in the context of life and not the other way around. He views each encounter as a part of a larger, long term relationship. I would highly recommend Robert to anyone looking for an legal advocate they can trust unequivocally.
