What a beautiful wildlife preserve. I highly recommend going if you're in the area. I recommend looking at the tide charts and coming about an hour before low tide. If going back to the beach and causeway, make sure to wear some sandals or something you don't mind getting wet from stepping in puddles to get to the back. If it's been a while since you have been back there do note there's less beach head then in previous years due to erosion. The mixture of smells of pluff mud, the pines, the ocean, etcetera is just intoxicating. Google Maps will say you reached your destination way before there is a parking lot. Just continue down the road to the end and take a left and follow that back.

Coming to Botany Bay is like taking a walk back into prehistoric times! The we kept expecting to see dinosaurs run out of the forest or something! What a cool place to visit! The scenery is absolutely awesome!
