Okatie Hilton Head Hotel

This hotel seems to house workers for local businesses, along with tourists in town to enjoy the island and it's surrounding areas. I was not impressed with the rooms at all, and the overall condition of this location is pretty poor (needs a complete overhaul). There's a staff member at the front desk that just goes above and beyond for the guests! She greets you with a smile, and then personally makes sure you have the best stay possible. I had the pleasure of chatting with Chela shortly after check-in, and she's a business professional with the gift of gab! I hope this hotel appreciates this young professional, because her attitude and personality made a difference during my stay......and i witnessed her going above and beyond for two very appreciative elderly guests. Chela, you've got class my friend. Thanks again for your professionalism, and great sense of humor! Rooms: Outdated and not in the best condition overall. Noteworthy details: Great location if you're coming off of I-95 just looking for an overnight stay before you hit the road the following morning. This location is a considerable distance from the island, so i wouldn't recommend it if Hilton Head's going to be visited daily!

ROACHES! LOTS OF BIG ROACHES. DIRTY SINK, TUB, TOILET, AND SHOWER. (Hair and filth. Black mold). The hallway was flooded with water, parking lot lightbulbs out. Very dark. Key didn't work the first time. Rooms: ROACHES. Nasty sink and bathroom . Safety: Dark parking lot. Lightbulbs out, had to use flash light to see. Very sketchy! Walkability: Very cramped. Noteworthy details: Business who hires College students owns hotel now. They live there permanently, very loud. Not a good place for sleeping.
