Amazing doctor. Was experiencing multiple diverticulitis attacks and needed to have a colectomy done. Dr. Roth explained the procedure clearly and with compassion. I am grateful for the succesful surgery am now free of diverticulitis attacks. If you need to have a colonoscopy or any colorectal surgery...I recommend Dr. Roth!

My wife went to Dr. Roth for her colonoscopy in July 2018. She found her to be very thorough, professional, and caring. She came highly recommended.

I love this doctor I was diagnosed with diverticulosis in October of 2013. I suffered from flares (10 of them) for 4 years. After being denied surgical intervention by the first general surgeon I met (he said I was "too young" for this surgery at 31), I got a referral to see Dr. Roth. I had heard she was really good and practiced Transfusion Free Medicine, which was critical for me, as I do not accept Blood transfusions or blood-derived products. I met her in September of 2017 and she booked my surgery for one month later. The day before my surgery, I ended up in the RIH emergency department...for a diverticulitis flare - number 11. The surgical resident decided it would be necessary to cancel my surgery and started making the calls to cancel it. I pushed for Dr. Roth to be consulted and that I'd had enough of ER docs pushing antibiotics and pain meds at me; that I wanted to have the problem taken care of. I'd already made the arrangements at work, which was a big undertaking in and of itself. Dr. Roth's "right hand man" came to see me and told me not to worry - he didn't let that little resident ruin my day. They admitted me and surgery went on as scheduled; albeit not as planned. Because of my current infection, it ended up being far more complicated than was anticipated- but Dr. Roth and her team explained everything to me in great detail and calmed my fears. She saved me. I think about her and what she's done for me almost every day. I have quality of life again. I don't have to fear what I eat anymore. It's been almost 6 months since my surgery and I haven't had one speck of trouble. I had been averaging a flare every two months in 2017. I tell all my friends about Dr. Roth and how wonderful she is. She is a skilled surgeon, she is kind and compassionate and she has a wonderful bedside manner. She made me smile again. People with normal guts just don't get it - they say "oh, you have a belly ache? Deal with it." If you have this problem, you know how awful you feel all the time. Even when you're not flaring, you have this dull ache in your side that won't go away. If someone accidentally bumps into your side, you feel it for hours. I can honestly say that, since I've healed from my surgery, I've had no complaints with my GI issues. She reduced my risk of recurrence from 100% to 5%. I'll take those numbers. Go see Dr. Roth. She is wonderful and amazing and while I hope I never need her services again, she is the first doctor I will call if I do.

Dr Roth is a great surgeon. She is personable and very thorough with her patients care. I am thankful I was referred to her. The below negative review is for the wrong Dr, so disregard.
