LANDLORDS please do not work with this scam of a company. They will put whatever kind of people in your house, who will not pay the rent and sojourner housing will act like they weren't the ones who recommended these people and spoke highly of them, and when there's a problem good luck getting a hold of them. Save yourself some stressful times and headaches and find your own tenants. This company is the worst

If you are a landlord, PLEASE PLEASE look somewhere else. Working with Sojo was a big mistake, brought nothing but stress. Tenants get used to and entitled to not paying rent, are disrespectful and lazy, complain about every little thing including a window screen. Sojo will do nothing to help you deal with them and at the end you'll end up having to evict them, putting you and your family at risk, because you don't know what type of people they are putting in your house. Sojo only cares about the grants, nothing else. Good luck trying to get them on the phone or helping you with these tenants

I came here after a domestic violence relationship that included physical violence and also included fetal loss at 39 weeks. Sojourner house has a great shelter. But the housing is dirty with mice and mold . I had great advocates but turn over rates were high, I had three or four different advocates. My last advocate I met twice face to face in a two year span. She would call me with resources, like shoes which I needed, then never follow up. They would always deny having bus passes or clothes, then on their Facebook page talk about donations of these things from the public. hey take little account for the trauma domestic violence has upon a family and simply houses them to collect money. The program is a mess. It needs to be reported. People are seeking help out situations that are dangerous and sojo does not take it seriously, it's about the money and the galas. I mean check out their Facebook. At one point I regretted leaving my domestic violence situation and accepting help from sojo. Then I realized it was a good decision sojo just does not help dv victims. Be safe of your thinking of leaving and get yourself help outside of sojo (physiological) because as I said they are more of a fundraising company.
