Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum

I used to visit the Blithewold Mansion with my family around Christmas time when I was a young child. I remember seeing the giant Christmas tree all lit up and it was absolutely stunning, 25+ years later, this place still stands as one of my favorite memories from my childhood.

I recently hosted a private event at Blithewold and it was amazing in every aspect. The food was delicious, and the presentation was top-notch. The staff, led by Genie, was attentive, engaged and added to the fun of the evening. Thank you to Genie, Scott, Jonathan, Hanna, Carly, Paul, Charlie and Allan for opening their beautiful venue and hosting this event! I would recommend Blithewold and their amazing team for any private function!

As a wedding photographer who's had the privilege of capturing moments at Blithewold Mansion, I can wholeheartedly say that this venue offers a magical backdrop for any wedding. The mansion itself exudes historical charm and natural elegance, making every photograph a piece of art. The flowering gardens and the bamboo groves provide unique and beautiful scenes that are a delight to photograph. The waterfront setting adds a serene vibe to the celebrations, and the sunset views over Narragansett Bay are simply breathtaking. The catering staff at Blithewold is exceptional, ensuring that not only is the setting perfect but also that the service is top-notch. They contribute significantly to the smooth flow of the day, allowing couples and their guests to fully immerse themselves in the joy of the occasion. Every wedding I've shot here has been a testament to Blithewold's ability to host celebrations that are both grand and intimate, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the elegance of the mansion

We went for the Afternoon Tea. The price for non members is 37 $ + admission = 55$ pp. We received pp 2 small scones, 5 finger sandwiches the size of a cracker (ham+cheese, cucumber, chicken salad, crab, salmon) 1 macaroon, 1 petit four and 2 mini truffles + tea. The ambiente is very nice, the service was excellent. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about the quality of the food. Some of it was mediocre at best. Not an experience I am going to repeat.
