Worst property management ever. The pictures they have up for 735 East Clarke ave are wrong. They wont tell anyone the neighbor at 737 are hoarders and they animals get into the house. The have is listed as a 3bedroom but by state codes its a 2 bedroom with a office

I have rented from five different companies over the past 9 years and Green City is by far the best. It felt like home because they were prompt with repairs and treated me like an individual. I am buying a home or I would not be leaving! I highly recommend them!

I love the maintenance team!! It ends there. Communication is not good, found out after 3 years of living there that people were murdered at my home and that it was broken into multiple times. When I first moved in, my back door wouldnt close without the lock and the shower regurgitated food from the sink. It took awhile to get this fixed which was fine but I should not have had to pay for rent when I had to pay for a hotel for me and my son to bathe. I was told over a year ago not to shampoo my carpet because of the wood being soft underneath it is extremely embarrassing having people over and I was told that it was going to be fixed then but guess not. In my lease it says that I have a shared porch and back yard and while I love my neighbors, I was told immediately after moving in to move the furniture off of the front porch because they already had it the parking spot in the back is definitely theirs and I am not able to use the backyard in a way that you would expect for it being shared so it shouldnt even be considered in the lease. Theres lots of problems with the electrical outlets sparking the doors dont open and I have to tighten them monthly, which I feel as a fire hazard when my son cant even open the door. About two years ago my bedroom window broke from the outside due to a storm. Instead of replacing the window, they boarded up and charged me even though I have renters insurance and it was weather inflicted. Thats the only window that an air condition would be able to fit in so the last two summers Ive been miserable with no place to put an ac unit. There are a lot of small problems that I wont even address because ever since I was charged Im not gonna ask him to do repairs. I might as well buy a house if Im going to pay out of pocket for for everything.. I just recently found out that I can pay online, which is amazing but I was told that this was always a feature, and I guarantee you I was definitely told otherwise and then I see that they were charging me for dropping off checks for my monthly rent without anyone updating my lease or notifying me. When my old roommate left over a year ago, he left all of his belongings and I was told I was not allowed to get rid of any of it so even after about 16 months, I still have his stuff in the house to avoid any kind of legal issue. Annoying. I learned after the first year to just try and stay low-key and only contact them if I absolutely need it because anything more than that tends to be a headache and frustrating to me. The biggest problem I had is that on multiple occasions they have told me that they have tried to contact me and I know for a fact that they had no problem telling that lie straight to me they could have left a notice on my door left me a voicemail sent me a text or email me they claimed to not have my number however, I have had multiple calls and texts from multiple numbers in the past YEARS so thats bull. When confronting them, they never have anything to say however, whenever it comes up again, they have no problem, saying that they tried contacting me and did not hear anything back. Overall, I just feel like they run like a new business and dont really have their stuff together. It could be a lot worse. The rent is OK but after finding out the most previous tenants had all those issues Ive definitely had a lot more anxiety and just cant believe they didnt disclose that information when I moved in..
