Grand View Hotel

Perfect location to sit on your porch and watch the sun rise. Basic motel, dated, clean, comfortable, helpful staff. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful ocean view. Good service at front desk. Great shower. Had a great stay.

I originally booked on line and received word that my card was declined (even though I had no problem anywhere else) requiring me to book with the Inn . Price was about the same so I did this. I did not receive a confirmation on line so I called and requested one but was given a verbal confirmation (no email) instead. Upon arrival check in was simple and staff friendly but we were told that shampoo, hair dryer etc. would have to be obtained at the desk if needed and were not in the rooms. When I asked for the password for wifi access I was told if I needed the internet I was to called the and they would walk me through it. The room was on the 2nd floor up some steep and narrow steps. The room looked dated but was clean and the bathroom had no extra toilet paper, soap dishes , shelves or hand towels. The balcony looked newly painted with 2 settees and a great view but no cushions and opened to the balconies on either side. My car broke down right after we got there and I went to the front desk to get the wifi pass word to find some service and /or transport to the play we were to see that night. Each time I asked for the password I was side stepped. Three people were at the desk and each were looking up places to call and one even called a taxi service for me ( to no avail) but I was never given the pass code ( I don't think they have room access as advertised). I finally got my car started that night and we checked out and raced home. I didn't bother to ask for a refund (if they can't provide rooms with shampoo and hand towels I didn't figure a refund was going to happen) and they didn't offer. My sister and I lost about $500 in all. Will not be back
