        Dont even bother. The last 3 times I went there I only brought less then 10 dollars worth of cans and the guy tells me they dont have any cash. So I get an iou slip and I asked how long its good for and he just said some time. Its been 7 months since my first drop off and they still mysteriously dont have any cash when I call them. Safe to say I wont be getting paid what Im owed anytime soon. I wouldnt even recommend it as a place to drop off scrap for free since youre likely going to pick up a nail or two in your tires.

        How do they still have 3 stars. People have been reporting their scrap iou scam for years. Ive found reviews back to 2013. Offered my friend an IOU today but he didnt take it. So strange because CLEARLY they have a large business going there. Its a massive yard. Wonder what their money stays tied up in? York county corruption is rampant! Im sure its some nefarious activities.

      Since 1995, J&K Salvage has worked to become York Countys premier recycler of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Based out of York, PA we operate York Countys only shredding facility which allows us to provide competitive pricing to our customers. Our shredder can recycle 300 automobiles daily and up to 5,000 tons of material monthly.
