My organization retained Greg Bennett and Cut Once as our partner in rebranding ourselves to better connect with Penn-Mars team members and families it supports. Throughout our extensive rebranding process, Cut Once consistently went above-and-beyond to elevate our vision and ensure we delivered impactful outcomes on time and on budget. Our project was particularly challenging for several reasons. First, we needed a brand refresh that not only reflected our legacy of 40 years of providing innovative services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, but also inspired audiences to get excited about the future we envision for our community. In addition, the updated brand needed to incorporate the bold and simpler tones and styles weve adopted in recent years. Complicating things further, in 2019, Penn-Mar merged with another human services organization, Change, Inc., and folded them into the Penn-Mar brand. The addition of Change sped up our timeline for creating a fresh new look and feel, as we wanted to develop a brand identity that would unite all of the new Penn-Mar. Perhaps most significantly of all, we also needed to create a fully accessible website that served multiple audiences: potential team members, people Penn-Mar supports and their families, potential new Penn-Mar individuals, our current team members, donors, and the general public. Our Services section alone, which details the variety of programs Penn-Mar offers to people with disabilities, was complex and extensive. Cut Once worked closely with us to create a design that met all our audiences needs and provided practical, useful information without the website becoming overwhelming and unwieldy. They also designed the new site in a way that allows for frequently changing updates and easy future expansion if needed. It has a wonderfully visually appealing style that achieves the exact user experience we intended. Simultaneous to the website work, Cut Once led the rebranding process, which ultimately resulted in a refreshed brand identity that was met with practically unanimous excitement. They not only developed a slew of newly designed marketing materials, but also created a new logo and tagline that are a perfect fit for the organization. Throughout the entire process, Cut Once meticulously handled project management, with clear and frequent communications detailing the status of each component of the rebrand, what they needed from us, and expert advice on the best paths forward. Simply put, we could not have achieved such a positive and impactful outcome without their extensive expertise, dynamic creativity, careful attention to detail, incredible customer service, and deep, intimate understanding of our mission and vision. The Womens Board is a volunteer, nonprofit organization that raises funds for The Johns Hopkins Hospital. The group does so many things and supports such a broad array of programs at Johns Hopkins that it was struggling to create a brand, a clear consistent public message. Greg Bennett and his team at Cut Once, who on a pro bono basis, surveyed the various constituencies of the Boardits members, Johns Hopkins employees and staff, donors, customers at its businesses, recipients of grants. The report on perceptions of the Board, internally and externally, was professionally done, enlightening and encouraging. The agency then developed three communication strategies to articulate the Boards purpose and impact. Greg was patient with the process of working with a volunteer driven group where each member is a stakeholder. Cut Once kept the process on a timeline and succeeded in helping the group create one clear, concise message from the three communication strategies. For next steps, the Womens Board has retained Cut Once for help with taking the key messaging public through a variety of mediums, to enhance support for projects throughout Johns Hopkins and the Baltimore community. Given limited staffing resources and full plates in our office, we recently decided to partner with Greg Bennett and Cut Once to provide assistance with and management of the production of our Colleges magazine. In addition, he and his team helped us with a total overhaul of the publication that included a new name for the piece, masthead, and strategizing a new editorial blueprint for the content. We have been thrilled with the results so far and how easy it is to work with Cut Once. Everyone here at the College loves the new look and content and they feel that weve really elevated the piece to a whole new level. Cut Once definitely brings a lot knowledge and experience to the table as well as a very strategic and structured approach the magazine. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Cut Once on our Colleges most important communication tool.

Cut Once is a consummate creative partner that listened to our needs and delivered solutions that exceeded our project goals and expectations. Our organization, Reach to Recovery International (RRI), is a global network of individuals, groups, and organizations committed to improving the quality of life of women with breast cancer and their families through peer support, advocacy, and navigation. Previously a program of a major international foundation, and based in Queensland, Australia, RRI recently became an independent legal entity, incorporated in Maryland as a global non-profit. Greg Bennett and his team handled an extremely complicated migration of RRI's website from its previous administrators in Queensland to a new team in the Baltimore area. This included a domain name transfer, the transfer of mailing list contacts, website updates and back-up, and much more. They provided outstanding work at a reasonable price, kept us updated and informed through every step of the process, and completed the work ahead of schedule. We definitely made the right choice in selecting Cut Once for the project, and look forward to a long working relationship with Greg and his team.
