Lycoming Heating Company

I contacted this company to service a propane heater. The service person took the part that needed to be replaced and ordered a new part. Returned to complete the job but it turned out that is was the wrong part. He left and was never heard from again. The company receptionist said the owner is sick and the company is closed. Bottom line: the heater remains broken with a missing part. The service person didn't even have the right tools and we had to provide and he took one of our wrenches with him. He also complained about other things. The only saving grace is that I paid with a credit card. I have disputed the charges with the credit card company for a full refund because of the issues described above. Read the other reviews and you will get the general idea of why you need to avoid this company.

***BEWARE*** This is not the old reliable Lycoming Heating. They have new ownership and are very very bad. Installed a new heating system for my elderly mother and it did not work. She spent 14k and it broke down within a month. Nice people ( young workers) tried to fix it but after 3 visits could not. The manager ghosted us and the receptionist got rude! We called another heating company and they fixed it within the hour! We will use them in the future and we will never use Lycoming again after using them for 30 some years. We will probably sue them, at least for the payment for the repairs. ****Beware*** Services: HVAC system repair, Heating system installation

WARNING!!! DO NOT use this company!!!! They put in a boiler that doesnt work last month, they KNOW it doesnt work and they WILL NOT call us back to discuss a solution. We have been left without heat for a month. When we call, someone always says they will have someone call us and no one ever calls! Many people I have now spoken to say they too have had the same type of poor service and no communication. They took down my friends poor review that he wrote a while ago, so who knows how many other bad reviews they have paid to remove. This company does not care about their customers and have the WORST business practices I have ever heard of. They take your money do half the work, or the wrong work and then ghost you! PLEASE save yourself money and headaches and call someone else. This company is a NIGHTMARE!

If I could rate 0, I would. From the beginning of the interactions with this company, it was a mess. I scheduled a consult for new HVAC install for a Friday at 3:30pm. I got a message before noon stating we missed the appt. They had come over 3 hours early and said we didnt show up. The dispatcher then said the service person should be showing up around 3 at 5pm they finally showed up. About a week after that, I had not heard anything back about the quote, so I called them. I was told it would be sent the following day by 10am. The next 2-3 days I received a call stating it was taking a little longer and I would have the quote by 10am the following day. This was over a month ago and I have not heard back nor received a quote. Pathetic! Thankfully there are good reliable and responsive HVAC companies in the area!
