    CAPS has some of the most caring providers that I know. The compassion that they put into their work sets an example that all of psychiatric care should follow. Truly the go-to place in the Pittsburgh area for all of your psychiatric needs!

    i had gone here for years. it wasn't until i found my new psychiatrist that i realized how awful the care i received from dr. dan udrea is. i now know that ripping a child off one medication then immediately putting them on another over and over again is poor practice. so is getting oddly jealous and angry when your patient mentions getting a second opinion. from the first meeting he just seemed really off putting. i'm now going to start the long and scary process of getting weened off of a medication a girl my age should've never been put on! actually, most practices don't even prescribe this medication to minors, as it's dangerous. i was put on it without knowing this. i trusted udrea. this man did not care for me as a psychiatrist should.

    They charge you without communication multiple amounts and they automatically withdrawal from your debit card on file. They are not helpful. They mismanage medicine. They rush appointments. Please do not go here and keep your children safe. Editing to add that they bill codes together that are not supposed to be billed. They also do not provide receipts or statements or have any communication past we can charge your card however we see fit. They also are very quick to tell you how they are just like everyone else insinuating that you have to either deal with their policies or not seek treatment anywhere else.

All of our patients are provided and sign an agreement to the policies and procedures. These state that we do “require a valid credit card to be held on file and that this card information may be stored for future financial obligations. All financial responsibilities will be charged to the card as insurance determines patient financial responsibility.” This is in line with current private practice standards. Patient statement and receipts can and are generated at the patient's request. We understand that not all patients can afford to pay in this way and as such we are glad to offer payment plans so that patients don’t experience financial burden. We pride ourselves in taking time to meet patients where they are at, we try to dedicate as much time as patients need. We spend about 30 minutes in followup appointments and 90 minutes in initial appointments- significantly greater than industry standard. Our billing codes and prices are set by insurance companies. Please contact your insurance company directly if you have questions in regards to this. We are sorry that our practice was not the right fit for you and wish you the best of luck.
