South Hills Motel

This is a reasonably-priced motel in Pleasant Hills. While it is older and may not offer the same amenities that some of the other local motels offer, I have been very happy staying there when the weather has been inclement. In fact, you could call it This Side of Paradise for those who are backpackers, construction workers, or weary of travel in stormy weather. It is also within walking distance of Fresh Thyme Market, Vocelli's Pizza, BP, Panera Bread, and the Southland Shopping Center, which appears to be going through a renovation period again.

Much like many others have commented, you can easily tell has been around for many years. That being said, even without seeing the owner walking around cleaning you can tell how much care goes into maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms. The bathrooms have been recently been updated and it looks like plans to update the rest of the room are being made. The parking layout meant regardless of where you parked, your car was always close; you also couldn't hear a majority of traffic which was very nice. The motel is very conveniently walking distance to many shops.

This motel is the WORST IN THE CITY DO NOT COME HERE AND DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE IF YOUR OF AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE! THE MAN THERE IS so racist he gave our room away and when confronted about it he said i don't want yall here and kicked me and my 2 year old daughter out he was very rude and kept rushing us to get ready and get out banging on our door telling us we got 10 minutes or he was calling the cops on us he walked into our room while we were still in the bed talking about its checkout time and it wasnt even 11am yet. He treated us very badly and had no respect for my kind I'm very disappointed and will be reporting this motel until they are shut down. DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY HERE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE UPSET THEY DON'T DESERVE ANY BUISNESS!

The rooms were decent size. And it was nice to see a Motel step it up by cleaning the rooms everyday and bringing fresh towels I travel for work and this is hard to find nowadays. I would recommend this place.
