AutoZone Auto Parts

This review is more about service than an actual sale. I got the dreaded "check engine" warning light on my Ford Flex and googled where I could get the diagnostic code and reason for the warning light free of charge. The AutoZone store on Gay Street offered the service, and as a bonus the D&K Diner is directly across the street so breakfast was on the agenda as well. When I went into AutoZone, I was immediately asked how I could be helped. A very nice gentleman went through the directions on how to use the OBDII diagnostic tool, and 5 minutes later I had the code, a course of action for the repair, and the exact part needed. What is noteworthy was that there was no pressure to buy the part (an oxygen sensor). The same gentleman gave me a printout of the diagnostics and asked if there was anything else I needed and welcomed me to call or come back with any other questions or concerns. I have been into other parts stores, and have been ignored while employees had no sense of good customer service. AutoZone's sales staff was attentive, professional and courteous and that surely gives them the edge when I am ready to purchase.
