Erica Booth Tax & Accounting Services

We have been working with Erica for a few years now. We met her at our local CDC where she was doing a class. After seeing how knowledgeable and personable she was, I contacted her immediately. Our books were a mess and we were behind on our tax filings. Erica walked us through the entire process and got our books together. There was so much we did not know, but she educated us. She is also patient! Her staff is just as amazing as she is. They always send me reminders, set up meetings and send over documents. I was a first time client of Erica Booth. I was excited as she came recommended from a friend and my friend's accountant. I was hoping to use Erica as she has familiarity with medical services taxes and growing businesses. I completed an intake form and any other additional information she requested. I was very disappointed as my interactions with Ms. Booth went on. She several times got my county/school district information wrong, which is interesting considering this is something that you can google. She wrote my business name incorrectly, which is located on the bottom of all my email communication. I then asked Ms. Booth if she would be completing my local Berkheimer taxes as well, at this point she has done my business and personal taxes. It took several emails and phone calls to have my local taxes completed. Ms. Booth asked if I had the form to complete my local taxes, in which I replied I did not. Ms. Booth said she would take care of it. The local taxes were completed but once again, I had to make corrections as Ms. Booth had the incorrect county on the form. This happened several times before Ms. Booth got it correct. As I went to pay the taxes, on a form that looked unfamiliar to me, but as Ms. Booth is the professional accountant, I assumed she would know better than me, the form was not assigned to my county. As I shared all my complaints with this experience, Ms. Booth than followed up with an apology that blamed me for not giving her the correct information for business (information she did not ask a new client for) and also not telling her which correct local tax place to go through (even though I mentioned it in my first email) even though she's the professional in the accounting field. This has been the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. I've never had another professional blame the client for things not being done correctly due to the client. In my experience, the professional is responsible for asking all necessary questions to the client in order for the service to be completed with the utmost care. I paid $450 only to be refunded $50 and Ms. Booth never completing my local taxes correctly. My experience with Ms. Booth has been very disappointing. She lacks attention to detail with her services and believes her clients to be the ones in the know for information that she needs in order to do a "good job". I would definitely not recommend her.

Erica Booth and her team do an excellent job, and they do it safely! We dropped our papers off at the office and picked them up after the filing was completed. Everything else was electronic. This was our third year with them. We'll be back next year!
