By presenting yourselves as a government entity, you have manipulated public perception and exploited the trust placed in legitimate government organizations. This deceptive practice is inexcusable and serves only to further erode the trust and confidence that consumers should have in the BBB. As a consumer who believed in the BBB's mission and sought assistance from your organization, I feel deceived and betrayed. It is deeply disheartening to discover that an organization claiming to be an advocate for ethical business practices and consumer protection would engage in such disgraceful behavior. I demand that the BBB Scranton PA immediately address and rectify these serious concerns. Specifically, I expect: A transparent and thorough investigation into the alleged practices of selling memberships based on the removal of poor customer ratings, followed by appropriate disciplinary actions for those involved. A public apology and acknowledgment of the deception caused by misrepresenting the BBB as a government agency. Implementation of strict guidelines and oversight mechanisms to ensure the integrity and transparency of the BBB's rating system, including clear disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest. Public dissemination of information to consumers, clarifying the true nature of the BBB as a private organization and not a government agency. It is imperative that the BBB Scranton PA takes immediate action to restore its integrity and credibility. Failure to do so will not only perpetuate the harm caused by these practices but also tarnish the reputation of the BBB at large.
