Super cozy and clean, but....... Found the campgrounds to be very nice. Very well shaded. Facilities are clean. However, I would not recommend this for families with children that like to do outdoor activities. They have very strict rules and it feels more like a retirement campgrounds. The pool closes at 5p on weekdays and 7p on weekends. Very strictly enforced. Also, it is locked all times and you must have two people to get the key (even if you are an adult). If you plan to do day activities away from camp, you will not be able to use the pool. Plus, the pool is not heated. With all the shade, it stays cold. If you are looking for a KOA type experience, it's not going to satisfy. The staff patrols the campground as well on 4 wheelers. Kind of makes you feel like you are under surveillance all the time. One day I had a staff member walking up the side of my camper where our windows are. Our blinds were up to allow light in. I noticed him when I exited the camper and I startled him. Might have been reading the meter or something but didn't feel like that. Other than a couple staff members, the rest were super nice and friendly. It's very quiet, not many people out. Most sites are filled, but still feels like a ghost town.

Hello Mr. Woods, Our pool closes before our store, so Monday to Thursday the pool closes at 6:30, Friday and Saturday it closes around 8 pm. It will always close if inclement weather is happening. The pool sits directly in the sun until late afternoon, they only shade is after 4 p.m. after the sun crosses over. We keep the pool locked when not in use as a safety factor for the children. Two people over 14 years of age, as required by Pennsylvania, are required to be there as a safety precaution. If one person has an issue there is someone to help them. These guidelines are in place to keep all our guests safe.We do drive through the campground to escort incoming campers to their sites, to clean the upper restrooms and to be sure our campers do not require any assistance. Our staff did read electric meters during your stay, the site next to yours was one that needed to be done. No intrusion was meant to your campsite. Our park is a destination campground. Many campers come to enjoy the events in our area and the beautiful natural surroundings. If people enjoying themselves away from the campground causes our campground to feel like a ghost town I could not wish for more! We have received many compliments on the campground being quiet even when full.We regret that you did not fully enjoy your visit to our area and specifically to our campground. If you decide to visit the Pocono Mountains again, hopefully you will find a campground that better meets your expectations.
