Had a certified/cashiers check drawn from Wells Fargo. I tried to cash it, they verified the funds were available, the check was valid, and it was not cashed previously. Still wouldn't cash it... they called the Wells Fargo branch it was drawn from and verified everything. Still wouldn't cash it. Borderline criminal activity here.

I used to have a checking and savings account here but closed them because every time I came into the bank because I needed something there was some reason why they couldn't help me. I kept my Wells Fargo Propel American Express card though because it is amazing. Long story short, I came into the branch today to get change for $100 bill because many of the places I actually use cash for will not take large denominations. They said they could not help me unless I opened a checking or savings account with them. Hard to believe that a bank can't get change for $100 bill. I would probably give them a worse rating if I knew that it was branch policy instead of corporate. In the future I will avoid this place like the plague.
