To make a long story short I purchased a new truck on 4/1/2024. I already knew what the finance rate was at my credit union, Sands was confident they would match it. Basically, I walked into the finance office and they offered me a rate considerably higher, I said is this the best rate. The finance guy looked down at his feet and said yeah. I followed with, well I probably have to hold off on the deal for a day so I can finance it through my credit union. He said, give me one sec, and come back with considerably better rate, he literally just shuffled papers on his desk for 10 seconds. I felt like they were just trying to squeeze more money out of me (they make money on the finance by either getting a percentage or a referral). Next day I talked with a coworker that purchased two vehicles in the last year from Sands, and he had very similar finance story. So, it's my belief they are practicing borderline dedicative finance practices.

I purchased my 2022 Mach 1 from Sands about a week ago and had a great experience with sales and customer service. I was driving about 2.5 hours out of state to visit and for every question or inquiry I had, Sands replied promptly and professionally. They were very forthcoming about every detail of the used car I was about to purchase. When it was realized that I couldn't get the car that night (title item out of state), Sands offered to deliver the car to my door, which speaks volumes in my book. Sands wants to sell quality cars to satisfied customers. I don't live in the area but if my search in the future for another car extends outside my local zip code, I will definitely include Sands.
