Regent Square Rentals

First I found this apartment building during covid and fell in love with this building ever since. Its historic and unique. Management is very polite and professional. Any issues I have had were worked out effectively and efficiently.

Six years ago, in 2018, when I was looking for an apartment, Regent Square Rentals showed me several that I really liked. I picked the one that I have lived in ever since - and I just renewed my lease for another year. I liked and continue to like the hardwood floors, the several tall windows, my living space itself, great kitchen appliances, the building my apartment is in, the laundry facilities onsite, and the location in such a good neighborhood. This rental company is reliable and always helpful, most especially Kelsey. The maintenance crew is on call if anything needs to be repaired - the normal stuff that happens from time to time. The workers are friendly as well as professional. This is my home sweet home, and Im grateful for it.

I was taken on a tour of a dirty apartment in Wilkinsburg. The front step was crumbling, the doors were broken. The backyard space was littered with old trash, and overgrown. The apartment was filthy, with broken doors and stained walls. Despite all the glaring issues, I was assured the apartment could be ready within a week. There is no way adequate repairs could be made in that time. The leasing agent giving the tour was not knowledgeable about the apartment, and could not tell me when the last repair was made. The leasing agent then informed that if I was going to be considered for the apartment, my application fee would consistent of one month's rent (over $1,000!). In addition, they would need a $95 borough fee, and another $200 in "processing." Showing a dirty, outdated apartment and asking for thousands in application fees is audacious. Expect nothing less from a company that has gone back and forth with every negative review on their business.

I meant to write this review sooner but life sidetracked me! Ive lived in one of their units for almost 6 months now and Im so comfy. The apartment was so easy to decorate and make cozy. The sun sets in the perfect spot in my living room where my cat sleeps everyday. Sean was really cool to tour with and made the application process super smooth. They have been attentive and nice to me and seem to really care about involvement in the community which can use a lot of help. Hoping I can stay here for awhile even though my dog might not let us move because he loves the dog park on West st. So much lol!
