As a parent, I am extremely pleased with my child's experience at kindergarten. The teachers and staff have created an environment that has greatly supported my child's growth and development. My daughter came to the kindergarten as a non-resident with no English experience. The teachers genuinely care about the well-being and progress of my daughter. They provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making my daughter feel comfortable and safe in their care. A big thank you belongs to the Director of Brightside Academy at Hazelwood Avenue. She is doing her job with heart and welcomed us very warmly. They are doing a great job. I would highly recommend this kindergarten to any parent looking for a nurturing, inclusive, and play-based learning environment for their child.

My daughter Alonah went to Brightside at 4months old,she remained there until she started Head start.   While there I became very familiar with the staff an fell absolutely in love with them. My child loved an trusted them, she formed so many good an trusting relationships there, I Literally cried when it was time for my child to start Head start but in my heart, i was confident that she would be ok... To this day we are still in touch with some of the staff there...

Don't go to brightside Academy. My son said teacher twisted his arm. Not once but several times. Ruled this out when we left there. We moved & he explained it after I took him out of the pre k school/daycare. He would try to run out the door & not go. (I thought he just didnt want to be there and he wanted to be at home) I grounded him three days with out anything & he was fine with out his favorite things . He didn't want to go back. When he knew he was going to a new school he was telling me the new school will pull his arm and he showed me what and how they twisted his arm, in anger at brightside. He loves his new school. Took awhile he was definetly traumatic to hearing school . I had other incident before this Ive shouldve known better. Mrs. Vikki is no longer there.she was the best. I called the main office and left a message Noone ever got back to me .
