I met Sam when I moved to PGH in 2015 through a recommendation by a friend. I could not be more thrilled! I moved to Cali in 2017 and could not find anyone out there that I was as happy with. When I moved back to PGH, I immediately scheduled with Sam. No one does blondes better. As long as I am reasonably close to PGH, I will be in Sam's chair! Went in for a consult hoping to get some guidance on what I should do since I have had some bad experiences with my blonde and now not sure if I want to go back to natural or keep trying for blonde was looking for a little comfort. Instead just like the other bad reviews I got a very off putting attitude maybe cause I am younger Sam thought I would ask for a refund after my service because she said 2 times there are no refunds ( which I would never ask for a refund by the way) also just the way she spoke to me was very strange saying she didnt know if I would use quality products on my hair if I would follow what she said to do . Instead of either asking what products I used or something like that. All together the consult was very strange although I dont doubt her stylist abilities I have decided to go else where for my hair I didnt wanna be in a hostile uncomfortable environment while getting my hair done. I will probably get a snarky reply like the other bad reviews but Im telling the truth, if you look under 30 dont even bother walking in you will either get turned away or get treated like you wont be able to pay for your services

My first & only experience in this salon was disappointing & unnecessarily hostile. I was late for an appointment just shy of 15min. I called to apologize on the way & apologized again at the salon. I entered the salon upon the news that, Sam, cancelled my appointment & charged half the appointment fee. It is her policy & I did not dispute it. However, the verbally aggressive behavior in which she delivered the news was demeaning and unprofessional. A professional can accept an apology and still uphold the operations policy without verbally assaulting a first time booking. (This all happened in front of a my 16 year old daughter in which the appointment was set). After we were told to leave BTB, I drove to a competitor in the area, & received the cut and styling my daughter was hoping for.
